RSPCA Cupcake Day

A HUGE THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY AND SUPPORT

So as most of you already know, we’re huge animal lovers here at Studio Verve! It just so happens that I am also a big lover of baking, so it seemed only natural that we combine the two for the good of the animals and participate in the RSPCA Cupcake day (well… cupcake week for us!) All I can say is WOW!! I was absolutely blown away by the support of not only Team Verve but all our amazing students as well!

When signing up for this fundraising event, I had to set a target. Now the phrase “Aim for the moon, if you miss, you may hit a star” came to mind so I though let’s aim high and go for $500! Now I thought this might be a bit of a stretch but we not only hit our target, we doubled it by raising a whopping $1000!!! We could not have done it without the love, generosity and support of all of our teachers and students. I would like to express my sincerest and biggest THANK YOU to all who donated and bought cupcakes during the week.

An extra special thank you and mention also needs to go out to some of our beautiful students who volunteered their time and effort baking delicious cupcakes for us to sell!

Lily Bragg for her delicious Chocolate & Beetroot Cupcakes for us!
Naomi Koh-Belic from “William Pear” for donating the spectacular “Smores” Cupcakes (they didn’t last long!)
Radha Babicci from “The Feel Good Kitchen” for donating the deliciously healthy Chocolate Paleo Cupcakes! Yummm!

And finally to our teachers Jen and Brook who baked throughout the week ensuring we were able to keep up with the Cupcake demand… THANK YOU!!

Did you know that the RSPCA rescued 131,525 mistreated animals last year alone? Can you imagine what it costs to feed, provide shelter and veterinary care to these animals? The money we raised will go directly to neglected, abused and abandoned animals in NSW. To give you a quick idea of the kinds of things the money will go to, have a look below

$5 helps to feed a rescue dog for a day

$10 provides a toy for a cat which assists in their behavioural development

$30 provides hay to feed the farm animals in our care

$40 microchips a cat or dog to ensure that they always find their way home

$50 helps to provide urgent temporary boarding for an animal in an emergency situation

$60 provides warm bedding, heat pads and lamps to help a puppy who has lost its mother

$100 helps to provide medical treatment for an injured dog or cat

If you want more information on the RSPCA or to find out how you can get involved go to their website at www.RSPCA.com.au

So thank you all again for your support - you've helped to save our furry friends from neglect and abuse and we’ll be back next year with more delicious treats :)
