Intermediate – High Intermediate

Foundational moves:

  • Basic inversions such as Inverted Crucifix, Serpent and Inverted V, Leg Hang and Cupid

What to aim for:

  • Co-ordinated use of abdominals, hip flexors and muscles in the upper back when inverting and control when coming out of an invert.

Challenging points:

  • Lack of abdominal and bicep strength to required to get butt over head in an inversion
  • Conquering fear of going upside down

Cheats to avoid:

  • Using momentum to get up and over or using the foot as a hook to then haul yourself into an inversion. Inversions should always be done with control and in one fluid motion.
