Intermediate – High Intermediate
Foundational moves:
- Basic inversions such as Inverted Crucifix, Serpent and Inverted V, Leg Hang and Cupid
What to aim for:
- Co-ordinated use of abdominals, hip flexors and muscles in the upper back when inverting and control when coming out of an invert.
Challenging points:
- Lack of abdominal and bicep strength to required to get butt over head in an inversion
- Conquering fear of going upside down
Cheats to avoid:
- Using momentum to get up and over or using the foot as a hook to then haul yourself into an inversion. Inversions should always be done with control and in one fluid motion.
