Based on the art of dance, PoleFit combines pole dancing skills and dance steps with an emphasis on technique to educate students on correct muscle use and to develop awareness for pole aesthetics.
Developed in 2004 by Jennifer Critelli, a classically trained ballet dancer with a passion for staying in shape, PoleFit made history being the first ever pole dancing program introduced into the main stream fitness arena within Australia. Following its successful debut at ‘The Edge’ Fitness First Bondi Junction in 2005, the program took up residence to great acclaim at Sydney’s leading Pole Fitness studio, ‘Studio Verve Dance Fitness’ where it continues to pass on the multiple benefits of pole dancing to women of all ages, sizes and fitness levels.
To ensure a high standard is maintained, course content is regularly reviewed and developed. All PoleFit instructors possess one year minimum practical experience with the PoleFit program and have formal dance or gymnastics background. PoleFit is a well-structured program that draws on techniques used in classical ballet, yoga and gymnastics and importantly, focuses on safe practices.
