Motion Is Life; Keeping Active Creates A Fountain of Youth!
Being physically active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is one of the most important ways to live a longer, more enjoyable life. Regular exercise, even if it’s incidental, has been proven time and again to provide positive benefits to both your physical & mental well-being. Not only do you feel good, look good, and have more confidence, but regular exercise can actively help SLOW DOWN the ageing process on a cellular level, keeping you looking and feeling younger for longer.
A 20-minute daily dose of moderate exercise, such as a brisk walk, riding a bike, active gardening or even cleaning the house can have tremendous positive effects. Add to that a couple of hits of vigorous exercise each week, such as a PoleFit class, dance class, swimming, or weights session, and your body will do more than thank you for it! Not only will you be increasing muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance, but you’ll be giving your body the tools it needs to create its own youthful longevity.
Stress reduction, lower blood pressure, weight loss, and a healthy balance of cortisol levels – a hormone related to stress and weight gain when there is too much of it in your system- are all amazing side effects of being physically active on a regular basis, not to mention the endorphin rush! Throw a few friends in the mix by doing a group activity together...like a pole class *wink wink*... and you’ll not only be getting the physical benefits from the exercise, but you’ll also be improving your mental health by being part of a positive social environment, creating a healthy support network of friends.
Whatever you choose to do, maintaining an active lifestyle can only bring you positive health benefits. And if you’re ever stuck for ideas, our different Dance, Yoga, Stretch or X-PoleFit classes are always a fun and handy option to shake up your routine and add some extra spice to your week!
So get going! Get that blood pumping and the sweat flowing! And just KEEP MOVING! As Hippocrates the father of modern medicine said “Motion is Life.”
