PA Instructors Place 1st Runner Up Lyra Doubles!

Earlier this month, PA Instructors Yasmine and Kiah took to the stage as they competed in Halloween Heaven, Sydney's very first combined pole & lyra competition. Not only did they compete, but they placed First Runner Up in the Lyra Doubles Division! Pretty spectacular considering the First Place winners have been training together for over three years and this was Yasmine & Kiah's very first doubles comp together! Not to mention Kiahs' very first comp EVER!

On a night full of scary, dark and twisted tales, these two beauties wowed the audience with a fun and whimsical performance inspired by the story of Peter Pan and his Shadow. In case you're not familiar, Peter Pan & his playful shadow become separated one night while visiting the Darling residence, Wendy's home. While it seems like a fun game at first, Peter becomes sad and distraught as he realises his shadow is a part of him he can't live without, and eventually Wendy stitches them back together again.

Kiah, playing Peter Pan, and Yasmine, Peter's mischievous Shadow, rolled, tumbled, flipped and flew both on and off the Lyra as they brought this beautiful childhood story to life through dance and amazing skills on the lyra. We're super proud our girls and can't wait to see what the next competition brings!
