October Stretch workshops

Michael's stretch classes book to capacity every term, and it's no wonder why. With a background in contortion, his programs are masterfully designed to improve flexibility and joint stability both quickly and efficiently, without the risk of injury.

By popular demand, Michael will be running three separate stretch workshops on Sunday 4th and 18th, and Saturday 10th of October. These workshops will have a special focus on back and hamstring flexibility, with an introduction to contortion techniques. Students can book into a single workshop or multiple sessions at $40 per workshop. Workshops start at 1:15pm and run for 90 minutes.

What's covered?

Class will begin with a warm up followed by stretching, the workshop skills, and then a meditation session at the end.

Workshop moves (can be modified to suit level):

  • Standing to bridge
  • Free balancing needle scale
  • Forward/backward walkover
  • Chest roll
  • Over splits

Other info

Students may bring knee pads, thick yoga mats and ankle weights if they prefer, but these are not required. Michael recommends to eat a light meal or snack two hours before class and to drink plenty of fluids beforehand.
