"Pole Athletica is my second (sweaty) home. After doing some research on pole dancing studios in the area I decided to try out Pole Athletica, sure that I'd make a total fool of myself and not last the term, much less the first whole class. However, Jen and her team of instructors are so supportive, non-competitive, open-minded and above all truly want their students to shine. It's been almost two years now and I can't imagine what my life would be like if I hadn't walked into that first class.

Pole dancing at PA has changed my life. It's not about the skills, new tricks, and muscles (although these are acquired quickly and are very impressive, especially to a girl who couldn't do a single push up for the first 22 years of her life). It's about the culture, the accomplishments and the pride - being a Pole Athletica pole dancer brings me joy, self confidence and true happiness. And yes, the sore muscles, calloused palms, pole burn and bruises are totally worth it."*

"The instructors at Pole Athletica (formerly Studio Verve) are so encouraging, and have helped me to achieve things I would otherwise have not thought possible! I've found a new passion for exercise over the past year, because dancing at Pole Athletica has made working out fun, and enjoyable."

"I just wanted to say a big 'thank you' for my past two and a half years at the studio. Before I started at Pole Athletica in 2012, I had been pole-ing for almost 3 years. Since becoming a student at PA, I've learnt loads of skills, and improved to an extent I did not think possible. I am so much stronger now! Thanks in particular to my instructors Jen, Clare, and Brook for your support and enthusiasm. You have re-ignited my passion for pole."

"Jen and her loving staff are not only passionate about helping advanced students learn difficult moves, but more importantly are always focused on nurturing their new students through their growth. Whether they are absolute beginners with no fitness experience or whether they have dance/gymnastics backgrounds and are as flexible as a contortionist, the staff here are always ready to dedicate 100% to catering to each students needs. She and her staff make sure everyone, no matter what level, build the confidence to push hard and make progress on their pole journey, but also to enjoy the process of learning moves, and improving one's strength and abilities on the pole.

Jen and her staff respect the art of pole fitness and have instilled in their students this respect in a way that is contrary to 'popular' belief. Her studio is not about sexy dancing and heels, it is about acknowledging the extreme amount of physical strength, flexibility, beauty and art that this sport is really about. She is dedicated to making sure her students and her staff pay tribute to the art of pole dancing as much as she does.

I started pole dancing at the ripe age of 38 and I am now 40  - not once have I felt like I am either 'too old' to start or even 'too old' to do this sort of fitness. My friends certainly think so! But she and her staff have never passed judgment, and for that reason my experience here has been amazing. I feel like I have a second family at the studio, and it has changed my life for the better."
